Wing Nuts

Description

Cold Forged Wing Nut: A nut with wings allows the part to be manually turned.

Stamped Wing Nut: A nut made stamped sheet metal with wings of moderate height and a larger bearing surface than other wing nuts.

Applications / Advantages

Cold Forged Wing Nut: Used when a part is frequently assembled and dissembled at a place where torque greater than that achieved with finger pressure is not needed.

Stamped Wing Nut: More economical than cold forged style, but not as strong.

Material

Cold Forged Wing Nut:
Low Carbon Steel:
Carbon steel adaptable to the cold-forging process.
